Large-scale Russian Assaults Eliminate Electricity In Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while local people in the city's east were left without electricity and encountered problems to drinking water, according to local authorities.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a distinct Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from regional authorities.

Russian forces has increased strikes on energy facilities over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "real steps" from international partners to exert influence on Moscow.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the major economies - in providing defensive weapons and enforcing penalties," mentioned in a online statement.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen projectiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were laboring to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles hit electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.

Multiple people hurt in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, according to municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the urban area experienced heavy assaults throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child lost their life and several individuals were injured.

The assaults come after nights of air raids in the territory, parts of which are occupied by invading troops.

All of Ukraine is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to spot.

National leaders told the media that Moscow was purposely seeking to demolish the national power system, with strikes already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and government agencies were anticipating further attacks.
